At Devine & Co., I stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of the custom jewelry I help you create. Your satisfaction and confidence in your piece are my highest priorities.
Lifetime Warranty on Manufacturing Defects
I provide a lifetime warranty that covers any defects in craftsmanship or manufacturing. Examples of covered issues include:
Prongs or settings that fail due to faulty craftsmanship.
Solder joints that break prematurely.
Structural defects in the metalwork or assembly.
If you experience any issues with your piece that fall under this category, please reach out, and I will repair or replace the item at no cost to you.
What Is Not Covered
While I guarantee the quality of my craftsmanship, there are certain circumstances that are not covered by this warranty. However, I am always here to assist and will do my best to help resolve the issue, including offering repairs at my wholesale cost when applicable.
Loss or Damage
Loss of gemstones or jewelry.
Damage caused by accidents, negligence, or wear and tear (e.g., scratches, dents, or chips).
Damage caused by improper care or storage.
Important Note: No jeweler or jewelry store provides coverage for loss or damage. This type of protection is always through your homeowner’s or renter’s insurance, or a separate policy like those offered by Jewelers Mutual. I am happy to guide you through obtaining proper insurance to protect your valuable jewelry.
Third-Party Repairs or Modifications
Repairs, resizing, or modifications performed by another jeweler are not covered under this warranty. However, I can still assist with evaluating the piece and providing options for repair.
Natural Wear and Tear
Metal thinning over time.
Stones becoming loose due to prolonged wear.
Examples of Covered Issues
A prong breaks or bends, causing a gemstone to become loose.
A chain link breaks due to a manufacturing defect.
A clasp or hinge fails prematurely.
Examples of Non-Covered Issues
A ring is lost or stolen.
A stone is chipped or lost due to impact.
A bracelet or necklace is damaged due to being caught or snagged.
Natural tarnishing or discoloration of metals over time.
Maintenance Recommendations
To ensure your jewelry remains in excellent condition, I recommend:
Regular cleanings and inspections (offered complimentary by Devine & Co.).
Avoiding exposure to harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
Removing jewelry during activities that could cause damage (e.g., sports, gardening, swimming).
How to Make a Warranty Claim
If you believe your piece has a manufacturing defect, please:
Contact 831-200-8100 or shelly@devinejeweler.com with a description of the issue.
Provide photos or bring the piece in for inspection.
If the issue is determined to be a manufacturing defect, I will repair or replace the piece at no cost.
If your concern falls outside the warranty coverage, I am still committed to assisting you. I can provide repair services at my wholesale cost or recommend the best course of action to restore your piece.
Protecting Your Jewelry
For comprehensive protection against loss, theft, or accidental damage, I strongly recommend insuring your jewelry. I’m happy to assist you in obtaining a policy through Jewelers Mutual or guiding you to include your jewelry on your existing homeowner’s or renter’s insurance policy.
